  1. I chose the category names hardware and software because hardware are things you can physically touch on the computer. Software are things you cannot touch. In the hardware the processing can make all else work the storage holds the software, like a flash drive and the input/output lets the computer communicate with the user. The data, which is something you cannot touch is a pile of information in the computer. The programs do things with the data in the computer
